I jumped in it.

You know, left all my books and my, you know, you know, my roommates in college, you threw him a check for my rent that month and drove like a crazy man to Iowa, where I reported to John Sasso, who would later go on to run Mike Dukakis' campaign for president, Paul Tully, who was my boss, who would go on to, one, recruit me later on in Mondale and Gary Hart and others, and Mike Ford, who probably was, in my view, one of the more brilliant political operatives we ever produced in the party.

So those three guys in the Kennedy campaign, they were the ones that, particularly Mike and Paul, really launched me.

You know, when they both got, so you need to understand this, Mondale hired exactly three Kennedy, out of like a staff of 3,000, There were three Kennedy people.
