I felt like Barry was a guy that was going to be kind of your backup tackle across from Austin Richards.

I think there's value in having more than one tackle on the roster at any given time and i think he would have made it if not for the injury um it's the second year in a row that barry wesley has started the season on injured reserve last year they had him injured reserve to return and think about this last year when you were doing it you had john ridgeway and barry wesley as your ir to return guys that tells you that you didn't have any major injuries to worry about.

Now, Chase Young got injured, but that was past the cutdowns when he got injured and missed the first five weeks.

But that's a bummer, because I thought Barry Wesley was in position to play meaningful snaps for you.

And the guys that I had cut, you know, Christian Boyd, John Ridgway, they stuck around.

And you're talking about six defensive tackles.

So your defensive tackles, Nathan Shepard, Devon Gaucho, Kristen Miller, Vernon Broughton, christian boyd and john ridgeway that's a lot of defensive tackles you sent mike heldman to ir he came out of the game with an injury believe it was a foot injury um not sure what it is i think it's one of those you're almost like when you get injured in the preseason finale as a player that's almost definitely going to get cut you're almost like cool because you know now you get to hang out on ir get a paycheck not worry about you think heldman also could be like a stash kind of guy Yeah.

Well, I mean, like that's but like it's tough to stash a guy when there's no documented injury.

You can bring somebody in on the active roster, and then after the active roster deadline has come and gone, you could then move them to injured reserve as a week one transaction, or in this case it'd be a bonus week transaction, that is separate from the two that you can place, um, you know, at roster cuts.

And so with three players, Devon Neal, Jordan Tyson, and John Ridgeway being injured reserve potential, I'm just operating right now with the idea that Devon Neal just gets carried onto the roster and then potentially placed on injured reserve at a later time.

I could have made that decision with John Ridgeway.

I could have made that decision with, uh, Jordan Tyson.

I'm just making that decision with Devon Neal instead.

So for defensive line as a whole, edge rushers and defensive linemen combined, five edge rushers, Chase Young, Carl Granderson, Cam Jordan, Tyree Wilson, and Fernie Jennings.

That seems pretty simple.

Interior defensive line, Devon Godchaux, Nathan Shepherd, Vernon Broughton, Kristen Miller, rookie from this year, uh, Christian Boyd, and then I've got John Ridgeway going to injured reserve.

I, I think when it comes to the depth part of that question, I think the depth is absolutely being tested with these injuries.

I mean, there are guys like John Ridgeway III that have been out for a little while on multiple occasions.

A guy like Oscar Delp, who, you know, you want to have on the field and developing as a rookie, he's been out for a little while now on two separate occasions as well.

I, I think there's definitely examples of the depth being kinda tested or stretched, uh, with those injuries.
