I'm your host, China Rose, and this is the show where we dive into all things music and the entertainment world.

On this episode, I'm joined by John Power, lead singer of The Cast.

We spoke about his legendary career growing up in Liverpool, starting out with The La's, backstage with Oasis, and releasing new music with The Cast, who are currently heading out on a UK tour.

So grab yourself a cup of Rosie Lee and let's have a good old natter.

I mean, it's just there, you know? I mean, just as-

Of course

... as Cass is and just as John Power is and, you know.

Um, it's just, it's all one big beautiful sort of, uh, journey really, like.

It's us guys.

What are us guys at Virgin on? John Power.

John's new show on Virgin Radio, Power From The Top Of The Tower.

Wow.

Could be, couldn't it? You've got it, man.

With Paddy Power from the top of the tower.

John Power was born in 1966.

English singer-songwriter who achieved fame as the bassist for the influential indie rock band The La's before he ended up fronting the '90s Britpop band Cast.

Mark Webber was born in 1970.

Yeah.

Unlike John Power, who talks in Scouse, Scouse psychobabble and actually believes it's true.

[laughs]

Like all his song lyrics, John, love you and all, but son.
