John Popper

And there's a giant pillow stuffed into a sweatshirt and he's holding a harmonica.

And he won the party as John Popper from Loose Traveler.

That was it.

Just a huge pillow and a sweatshirt and a harmonica.

Shoulder, first goes Curry man into the steel steps.

Oh, look, it's John Popper.

'Cause why are you giving him the runaround?

By Devon is obviously-

I'm gonna have to-

Who the fuck is John Popper?

Is that the guy who had the penguins?

Is that John Popperus?

All right, so that's what they were called before.

The early lineup included guitarist Eric Schenkman, harmonica player John Popper.

I did not know John Popper was originally from that with Blues Travelers and his vest of harmonicas.

[laughs] And eventually singer Chris Barron.

Yes, John Popper, like I said, who became one of the fine members of Blues Traveler.

He eventually left to concentrate on Blues Traveler and the band that became the Spin Doctors took shape with Chris Barron on vocals.

That's pretty amazing.

They played long shows.

Which if you think back to what the video for I believe it was the video for Hook.

Um, but basically John Popper made fun of Adam Duritz for being a studio creation by having him represented on stage as being like the, you know, the band in the front while John Popper was in the back, you know? So apparently that's been a knock on them for a long time.

It's a

known thing that he's atrocious and he is, he's atrocious.

I kept thinking how bad a harmonica would smell after it was in someone's mouth.

Like John Popper, his big fat face on that harmonica.

Who's John

Popper? Oh, he used to sing that...

guy.

White guy or black? White guy.

John Popper.

Cowboy

I just know.

And we know from the behind the music of Blues Traveler, John Popper basically said it without saying it.

Dude.

Maybe we can reach out to Billy Corgan.

No, not Blues Traveler.

It's not John Popper.

Think of your

girl bands from the 90s.
