sometimes,

I remember when we had John Niven on the show and he talked about his brother and he said, I just wish he'd have picked up the phone because his brother committed suicide.

An article written by Beth Oliver.

Nicola Sturgeon, John Niven and Maisie Chan are amongst the headline names set to appear at this year's Byers Road Book Festival.

Glasgow's West End will host four days of free author events, live conversations, workshops and family activities from the 24th to the 27th of September.

Now, in its seventh year, the festival will take place across venues including the Oran Moor, Hillhead Library, the Oxfam Bookshop and Glasgow University's Clarice Peers Building.

The former First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, will discuss her memoir, Frankly, at Oranmore.

Meanwhile, the best-selling author, John Niven, will make his festival debut alongside the BAFTA-winning screenwriter, Andrea Gibb.
