But here's the beginning of it, and this is the good part, where they talk about John McVay influencing Sean McVay.

There's one in here w- that I'm gonna go to where Les Snead talks about Sean McVay being an extra player on the field, which I don't believe with.

Here's the beginning.

Let's, let's go to the, uh, the John McVay/Sean McVay connection.

McVay grew up in Atlanta, a star high school quarterback.

That is something he's purposeful about and that he genuinely does care about.

As always, McVay is quick to acknowledge the early NFL opportunities he was afforded and the lessons learned from his grandfather, John McVay, and the Gruden and Shanahan families.

What I would hope is that the most helpful thing for them is that they get exposed to everything, McVay said of helping assistants become head coaches.

because I try to be as inclusive as possible.

He was in Washington, and he was an assistant there.

And his grandfather was a great head football coach, John McVay, and got great bloodlines.

And he was a prodigy, and he's already got a Super Bowl under his belt now.

He's got the best team in the game.

I remember when Sean McVay's – I was the Rams B reporter at the time.

Sean McVay's grandfather, John McVay, who was a longtime GM of the 49ers, passed away.

And you don't know if Sean wants to talk about it, but it is news.

He was a legend in the game.

And it's like the way I asked the question, I remember I said – hey, Sean, what are some memories of your grandfather that you have? And I think that was a question like, hey, I get a chance to honor my grandfather by sharing a story.

And instead of saying, hey, my grandfather passed away, what are your thoughts? Just kind of give them more about what to think.

So it's just being respectful.

And I think a lot of times, if you're fair, if you're not taking cheap shots, you'll get the answer that you want.
