So I would go out, smile maybe more than your average robot and tennis that walks around and is just, yeah, saying all the right things and, you know, not looks locked in at all times, which we all are.

But I remember the McEnroe, these, some of these guys would kind of clown on me sometimes for having a personality on the court.

And now it's like, now it's like praised that tennis has become, I feel like cooler.

It's become more of a spec, you know, more of a spectacle.

Well, he also got booed when he came out.

Apparently also towards the end of the broadcast, John McEnroe said, hey, Yannick and Carlos feel better soon.

We really need you back on tour, which he also got a lot of flack for.

So when John McEnroe is bored and is calling for anybody to come in to save tennis right now, you know it's bad.

You do.

I was hoping for during the ceremony, a United States stands with Olya and Brenda, like we heard during the Australian Open final when he lost to Yannick Sinner.

Next in our series of conversations, I talk with Patrick McEnroe, the younger brother of tennis champion John McEnroe.

Patrick had a brilliant tennis career of his own, ranked at 28th in the world in singles and number three in doubles.

We talked about how he coped with having a brother ranked number one, but also about connecting and communicating, this time on the tennis court.

I remember Borg and McEnroe.

I remember I was a really big Bjorn Borg fan.

I'm gonna say it was like 1978, 79.

Does that make the game sometimes a little bit less interesting to watch for me? Probably.

I do respect the incredible movement and power that you see in tennis these days.

But probably from a contrast of styles perspective, I used to watch like, you know, Rafter playing Agassi or Lendl playing McEnroe or some of these like 80s and 90s matches where there was a distinct contrast in styles.

So, yeah, I think, you know, we see where the game's going with the power and the movement that Yannick Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in particular are bringing to the table.
