So this, like, dark, sleek, black panther fur, and these bright red eyes, and, uh, a- almost like a, a camel-like body and cat-like face, with a fell glare, in the chamber should this, uh, anything happen.

Uh, I am going to touch Ranby as I summon it and say, "You hearing this guy?"

So are you kind of in the staff area, or are you just sort of behind one of these, one of these hedges?

I think what Ollie realizes he, that needs to happen is he needs to take all the resources off of this pretentious rich people place, and scam people out of everything they've got to the point where I am ready to go into town and re-arm myself and get armor and, and, and to do this mission.

I'm going to take advantage of these people any way I can.

Uh, Ollie is getting back to his prison hustler, uh, attitude.

You know what I mean? It's just, like, the feeling of, like, they are taking this thing, this direction that I've given them, these words that maybe I've given them or someone else has given them or whatever, and they're sort of internalizing all of that and, like, pushing it back out in just the most beautiful way way you know whether that's funny or scary or you know uh sad or whatever it is it's just like one of the most satisfying things and i and i absolutely give props to both of you for giving me that treat of just like sitting back and watching both of you just cook you know in this world that i've made was just like oh man what a what a what a lovely position i am like what a privileged position to be in where i get to do this with such excellent storytellers like genuinely

Well, and the cool thing to me, and I think this is one of the reasons that like sort of TTRPGs and D&D has kind of found such a like a big sort of spot in my heart these days, is that I always have kind of looked at myself as like a collaborator first.

Like even as like a director, I'm never the boss.

I might like make decisions.

I might like be the one who's ultimately making like the final call on something.

But I am always taking what other people are giving me, then adding my sauce to it, and then letting someone else add more sauce until we have this incredible thing that would have never been what it is without the fingerprints of every person who's involved.

So much sauce.

and what makes them more money right it's nothing actually to do with you yeah

When is the first time that you saw your brother, your older brother, not just as a brother, not just as family, but as one who would sacrifice anything?

I mean, it was kind of in the time when he was younger, when his, when his parents were, like, not sure if Shadi was gonna be a, a real Turlat, where he was not showing prowess in any way and was being sort of shunned by the family and forced to do kind of, like, menial tasks and not really sort of allowed into the fold.

Uh, I think, I think there was a time where Shadi had, like...

Done, uh, something poorly, had done, like, some kind of task poorly, but it was, like, the, like, third time in a row that he had screwed up, and the, and the family was, like, really coming down on him and was about to, like, totally just, like, ruin him.

And Yurnell stepped in and took responsibility.

There was, like, a moment where, like, Shadi was supposed to do some sort of chore, like clean, clean something or do something, and, and he was about to get a punishment that was so far outside of what the crime, and Yurnell stepped in and was just like, "No, i- he- it- that wasn't Shadi.

I did that.

And I think that around almost completing this circle, you see another two individuals, a dragonborn and an elf, and I think that you suddenly remember this time that you shared a similar connection with Yurnell where you had to move in perfect synchronicity with him, but not just him, but two of your closest and dearest friends who you had all but forgotten in Ollie and Tundra.

... and into out of service with a Subway.

I, uh, I see this thing and, and, and I like...

It knocks me down, and I stand up, and it like, it's just, like, fucking roaring at me, like, "You ar, ar, ah." And steam's just shooting out.

And I grab this sub, and I do, like...

It kind of looks like I'm, like, doing, like, a cool John Wick move with it, but I just, I take the sub out and I put it in, in between both my hands, and I just kind of rip it in half, and lettuce and meat and everything is all over the place.

[laughs]

All the, like, Italian dressing and mayonnaise is still on it.

And I run up this, this, uh, this monster's leg, and jump up, and I just, like, slam, like, two big steaks.

Shadi, as you see this metal just burning above you, growing hotter and hotter from red to orange to white, and you just see white ahead of you, when's the first time, Shadi, that you saw snow?

That's interesting.

That's very interesting.

I think there's probably like a distinct memory, probably around the same time as that.

the broken toy around the same age.

And there was a morning where Shadi like woke up and was like a little bit cold.

He, like, had that little chill.

But we also should find a way to fuck mom and dad with this, I think.

He's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Yeah.

Shaddy shoves him against the wall and is just like, all right, little guys.

And he gets down on his knees like they're children because he doesn't understand that they're elves.

Listen, fellas.

There's bad people on this ship, and you know that.

You know, they got your guy.

We thought that that would be, you know, at least something.

And as you swing round and round, and you realize that somehow your brother is coming back to you- Shady, do you remember your first festive season with your brother?

Yeah.

The fir- I was probably like four, four years old is probably the first one that I have, like, a clear memory of, and I remember being really upset because I, uh, broke this, like, really cool, awesome toy that I got for Christmas.

Like, I was just being stupid with it, and I broke it, and I was really, really sad, and Yurnel, while I was, like, in my room pouting 'cause I broke my toy, Yurnel fixed it for me.

He f- [laughs] he fixed it, and he, and he brought it into the room and, like, h- it was, it was perfectly back to, intact, and then we played together for the rest of the day with the toy.

There's some sort of other apparatus.

And he's kind of got his tongue sticking out of the side of his mouth, like really intently trying to get this lid off of this drink.

And he just like...

And it slips and it falls and it breaks on the floor.

And he kind of like looks around and he just kind of takes the pieces of the glass and kind of puts them into a little pile and pushes them underneath the little table that's sitting in front of him.
