I've got to get this guy." He saw the vision.

And I always come back to, you know, in terms of history repeating, um, Arsenal replacing John Lukic with David Seaman, which Clive, I'm sure you remember.

Yeah.

And I just love the, the quote from George Graham after that.

He said, um, "I think John Lukic is one of the best goalkeepers in the country.

I just think David Seaman is the best goalkeeper in the country." And that's kind of what we've done here.

And I think there's a very, very valued ar- valid argument that this is our most important player, not least 'cause the nature of goalkeeping, your backup's always gonna be quite a big drop-off unfortunately where...

There's definitely, you know, we're, we're talking about your Jens Lehmanns, your David Seaman, your Bob Wilsons.

You know, we're talking about John L- I don't know if John Lukic really gets into that level, but he's certainly still one of the most appreciated goalkeepers in Arsenal history because he helped win the league, you know, in 1989.

But when it comes to, when it comes to the greatest keepers of all time at Arsenal, David Raya absolutely has to be in that conversation, and I think he is putting himself into the conversation of Arsenal's best ever keeper.

I think he is putting himself into those, those scenarios.

We've had some brilliant goalkeepers over the years from certainly my day watching Arsenal.

Obviously, started watching when John Lukic was there, then David Seaman came in and was just unbelievable for such a long period.

Jens Lehmann came in and was brilliant, obviously, for the Invincibles.

But I'm not sure I've seen a more complete goalkeeper than David Raya in terms of everything that he can do.

I was always fascinated with keepers back in...

John Luke Leeds.

Leeds and Arsenal, yeah.

I've seen one or two others.

John Lukic.

I've seen a lot.

I think his consistency as a goalkeeper, so shot stopper, command in the box, collecting crosses, his parrying into safety, his calmness.

Well, there's two that stick out to me.

And that was when George Graham sold David Roecastle and John Lukic.

And both of those, there were huge fan protests at that.

In fact, we had a song go around the last home game of the season.

100%.

You know what I mean? Like, I remember the John Lukic one, like, you know what I mean? Like, brought in Davidson.

A lot of fans didn't like that at the time.

Now, listen, I never, you know what I mean, I, I remember having an opportunity to go and see George.

So, but-

And one prediction I will make is that Lukic will get booked.

He's our new signing from Fulham.

And again, you had a lot of time to think.

I think you broke one-on-one from the halfway line and went around John Lukic or whoever it was in goal.

And then from an angle that's- Not particularly attractive.
