John Leeson

Because, as you so astutely guessed,

John Leeson, who was Bungle, went on to then provide the voice of K-9, Doctor Who's robotic dog

companion.

Very good.

He's, he's not eco-friendly.

Yeah, apparently he was so expensive to run that the guy who does the voice of K-9, John Leeson, would literally get down on all fours during rehearsals to play K-9.

[laughs]

Yeah.

We do introduce K-9, so that's gonna be exciting.

We'll talk a little bit about that.

K-9 voiced by John Leeson, who pulled double duty in this episode.

Another important detail we'll get to.

But very aware of the situation.

And when lovely John Leeson arrived, who says this? When John Leeson arrived, he only came in for one story.

But John has this amazing knack of just getting on with everybody all the time.

And he got on so well with Tom and so well with me and the atmosphere just relaxed.

And just to have three regulars in the room instead of two, because the BBC have got this weird thing whereby they hire their own props and they couldn't afford to have K-9 in the rehearsal room.

So we had John Leeson on all fours.

He was cheaper to have in the room.

than to have the actual canine.

Anyway,

this is read by John Leeson.

Eh? Second Doctor? It's read by John Leeson.

The story is read by John Leeson, the voice of K-9.

I

heard you the first time, yes.

to the Harris's, the Victoria Galaxy is

out there.

I also like, though, that it's the same voice for K-9.

Yeah, still John Leeson.

As much as I like Doctor Who's regeneration thing, I do appreciate that sometimes they do want to keep some consistency with stuff like that.

And so John Leeson.

If

it hadn't been John Leeson and it was somebody else, I.

What if it was me doing this voice? I would have rioted.

I love canine so much.

I guess it is multiple people.

So it's Roy Skelton, Roy Mills, Brian Miller, and John Leeson.

Cool.

brian miller i looked it up and brian miller is the brian miller that was married to elizabeth slavin so that's cool but i would say that the dog voices overall are great this episode stand
