Um, I went on stage just after, me and Spencer Jones and Jon Kearns watched the game yesterday.

But he's still John Kearns, right? But Johnny Vegas is Johnny Vegas, but, you know...

Oh, God, I remember seeing...

From North London, we have Sophie Duker performing her show Hot Beef Injection, suitable, I hope, for vegetarian and vegan listeners as well.

LAUGHTER Then from South London, we have John Cairns, who this year is tilting at windmills.

And from Mumbai, I don't know if he's from North or South Mumbai, we have one of India's top stand-ups, Kanan Gill, who has given his show the inspiring title, Not This Again.

LAUGHTER Do you go and see other comedians while you're here? There's so many.

But let's now come to John Cairns, who's a distinctive brand of stand-up comedy, complete with ill-fitting teeth and wig, has made him an ever-popular figure here in Edinburgh and other festivals around the world.

though he does occasionally appear on TV shows without those props, and even in the theatre, with Adam Rich's recently had a big success as they, I think affectionately, parodied Michael Ball and Alfie Bowe's musical double act.
