documentary and even though i know i'll never be on the front lines protecting wildlife i was so deeply moved and impacted by the commitment of game rangers going out there to risk their lives all to protect rhinos and other wildlife and through anton and zimba i i really could feel like through the screen i could feel his love and honor to be on the front lines protecting the rhino so for those who may be hearing from you for the first time what inspired you to tell the story of game rangers through rhino man

well yeah just to connect with what you were saying i mean anton i'm so glad that his his heart comes through in the film, because I think that's really what connected with me.

So just a little bit of quick background.

The film was actually started by my really great friend, Matt Lindenberg, who's from South Africa.

He spent a lot of time studying at the Southern African Wildlife College.

then also helped train rangers there.

And so he was the person, the access point to this whole world.

With his passing before the film actually was put out for the public, did you have to change anything? Did you make any adjustments? edits to it because of losing him? Did it change the film in any way?

So one day I will tell my son, "Oh, I was there in wildlife college."

college."And when Ruben gives his first speech at the beginning, which he does every time people go through one of these selections You're on selection.

What does it mean? It means you are in competition with yourself, not with me, not with the man next to you or the man in front of you or the man behind you.

Yourself.

You see, like, the eyes on them just bug out, and they're like, "What did I just get myself into?" [laughs] I'm not being tested.

I was tested before all of you were born.

'Cause Ruben's voice can be a little terrifying, especially when he's saying, like, "You're gonna do this, and you're not gonna do this," and, uh...
