A cold open has John Hawks playing Pete, the clerk at Pete, the clerk at Benny's World of Liquor out in the Texas wilderness.

After a conversation with the Michael Parks character, Ranger Earl McGraw, who shows up to buy some wowie sauce, we learn that he's in the middle of being held up by Seth and Richie.

Okay, thank you for that, Mia B, for laying that out there.

So he's like this super meek, kind of nerdy kid, but he's friends inexplicably with something like jock douchebag guy, and they go to a haunted attraction, and he's scared of everything, and the people there are fucking with him, they're bullying him.

John Hawks.

They're putting him in the port of...

Yes.

Um, scary movie, Crossing My Fingers is a good one.

Um, one of the first movies that John Hawks was in, like this is supposed to be an image of John Hawks.

Um, and fun fact, I just watched From Dusk Till Dawn, uh, the other day for the first time in a very long time.

And I forgot John Hawks was in that movie as well.

He plays an amazing character.

I love him as a character actor.

But I just want to see what certain circumstances or stores that you like to shop in, some of your best finds.

Let me know all that below.

Yeah

... and then having John Hawkes in here before he got...

I mean, he, I, I wouldn't call him a That Guy actor.

He's too famous for that.

It then has a whole bunch of different weird choices.

For example, there's a line that gets missed with John Hawkes talking about Russian speakers in part of his panic speech in the theatrical cut.

And-

I've got thoughts on these little lines, actually

Yeah, well, go back in remembering it was made in 1993.

I didn't even realize that's John Hawkes playing the cowboy, the person who's half cow, half man.

John Hawkes?

Yeah.

Okay.

And so this, you know, they just get yanked out of the one thing they're doing and they're suddenly sent on this caper.

That's going to inform the rest of the movie when, and they're talking, they've learned something's going on with, um, one of their confidential informants, this guy, Alonzo, uh, played by John Hawks.

It was the first time I'd ever seen John Hawks.

He's

amazing.

We're just trying to get back on track.

Um, uh, one thing I wanted to point out.

So they're in the, in the scene where Michael doesn't point this out, but I can in the scene where John Hawks, Alonzo jumps in front of, they're like on the side of the freeway, like literally on the freeway.

It's called Heartland and stars Jessica Chastain as a country singer called Misty Jones, also known as the Queen of Mean, who has to make a comeback when her niece goes missing.

Her niece is played by real-life country star Carter Faith, and the cast also includes John Hawks and Garrett Hedlund.

It's due to drop on November 13th.

I just need you to do your goddamn job.
