I think he's going to be in the mix of all that shit, and he's going to be the kind of guy who, you know, cleans things up when, you know, Fox throws one towards the net.

and jay-z will just be the guy in the bumper ready to get it in you know what i mean i think he's going to benefit a lot so for me the biggest thing that i'm excited to watch is is that third line i can't wait to see lava fast as lightning coolly destroying people i think that line is going to surprise a lot of people and then also kind of like as a little side note hi cartier i'm really excited to watch too i just the kid's infectious like i know where we lost a little bit of that locker room love from from sakura getting hurt which you know that obviously sucks but cartier like in every interview and everything that he does that guy goes 100 he actually came out and said um in one of the post or actually it was one of the mid inter-period interviews um john giannone asked him and was like you know a lot of guys when they get waved and then claimed like know it puts a certain chip on their shoulder and he goes i don't have a chip on my shoulder he's like honestly like all the love to seattle but i want to make the rangers feel right for claiming me rather than seattle feeling wrong you know what i mean like i want to prove them right and that to me is like such a like how do you not root for that kid to maybe not even climb up the lineup because i think he's a dude who's totally cool with being on the fourth line but how do you not root for that guy to just perform every night

I know I know exactly we're saying because it also reminded me of this was such a minor play in the Isles game but there was one play where Someone was like going after Dora a little bit behind the net First person down there is Dersey and he just skates right in like yanks people off and I'm just like I just love it when players do that because like I feel like over the years we've always had somewhat of an issue with that we're like players don't know players and I know it was a big issue when we, specifically when we had Hank and stuff like that.

Like, there was times where, like, just people, like, I don't know if they just weren't tough, whatever the case may be, they just didn't defend.

But, uh, it was interesting, too, that this quote was kind of making its rounds on social media.

But Cartier was interviewed by John Giannone during one of the intermissions of, you know, one of the games that the Rangers played here in the preseason, and he was asked if being waived by Seattle last season was motivation for him this season.

This is what he had to say about it: "I think a little bit disappointing, but I think more I wanted to prove the Rangers right for taking a chance on me instead of proving Seattle wrong.

So just continuing to try to work it and keep doing that." Amen.

Fantastic guy.

He's, you know, does yeoman's work.

It sounds like, you know, we'll know in a little bit of, time but he's a great part of the Rangers broadcast as the son of someone who suffered from prostate cancer I hope all works out and he gets this taken care of and can be healthy moving forward but he went public with it and it's an important message get tested and make sure to check with your friends just like with shoulder check right put a hand on their shoulder and say hey get checked out go see somebody whether you think you have a problem whether whether you're not sure whatever Go get tested.

Go talk to someone.
