In Atlas Shrugged, if you're unfamiliar, society at large is mooching and extractive of those who are productive members of society.

So those who are producers are approached by a character named John Galt.

it becomes this underground thing where everyone says, who is John Galt? This is how people kind of spoke about, are you gonna break free from the system? And in the book, they all go to Galt's Gulch, where producers live in harmony, exchanging value for value.

There are no free rides.

And for me, the parallel is too perfect in that Bitcoin seemingly represents digital gulch gulch.

kept inventing nothings.

You familiar? I don't know him personally, but I do know that name is from Atlas Shrugged due to just seeing a lot of people post shit about it.

I never read this book.

And the machinations of caricatured mustache twirling government interlopers, the real innovators of society discover Galt's Gulch, a mythical utopia where all the innovators and entrepreneurs have created a society in which free and rational agents can live the good life together in a libertarian society.

Featuring a 90-page speech on her philosophical outlook by the eponymous John Galt, Atlas Shrugged is Rand's masterwork.

The joke I use is, the creators are fleeing to places like Florida and Texas.
