Um, some of them, for some of them, it was their sort of first job, and for a lot of them, it, you know, um, it led to bigger and better things.

Like at the, you know, you know, at the, in Washington, where you had the Diplomats, you had guys like John Feinstein and Michael Wilbon, who were-- they started out covering soccer.

Wow.

You know, and John Feinstein says to this day is that Johan Cruyff was, like, the greatest athlete he ever covered.

You know, um, so, you know, there w- there was that coverage, but there wasn't much.

So, like, as an example, you brought up the issue of, say, the 1986 World Cup, which 1983, it was a question of it being moved from Colombia.

Where he's like, "Yeah, we had a bad practice, I'm not really here."

How'd you, did you take that as like he's trying to show how much he cares or like, God, I g- I, I'm, he's like speaking it out loud, like I wish I would've said no to this?

I think he's speaking it out loud, yeah.

And when, and you're, and that, when you're young that's a big deal.

There's this book, uh, a sports book, Season on the Brink by John Feinstein.

I read, I read it.

Okay, I was living in a basement apartment between my sophomore and junior year in college.

I was living with a guy named Rex, and, uh, I came home in the afternoon, and he had, he was like 15 minutes into it, and he stopped it, and he was like, "I'm gonna rewind this.

I think you're gonna like this movie." So we watched it, and much like that John Feinstein thing, we immediately watched it again.

And I think for both of us, for me at least, I shouldn't speak for him, but this seems crazy to say this now.

It's done very well.

He used to live next door to John Feinstein.
