Hi, Mark.

Well, the Republicans are clearly on the defensive.

Uh, they know that they are going to lose at least the House of Representatives.

Uh, Speaker Johnson has said win or lose, he will try to remain leader of the Republicans in the House.

But I think the Republicans are headed for a defeat, and as you progress with your commentary today and our question and answers, there is no doubt that the corruption, the incompetence in the Iran war, the incompetence with Ukraine, it's compounding time after time.

A lot of Bay Area viewers and listeners to this show.

And I also have John Rothmann, the historian, presidential historian joining.

And he is also a Bay Area kid.

So that's kind of cool.

It is October 7th, sir, and you, um, have spoken and written, uh, a lot about Israel and about the attacks.

But the Israelis will not, remembering that more Jews were killed on that day, three years ago today, than at any time since the Holocaust.

And when Israel says never again, they mean it.

It's also worth noting, John, that, uh, Haaretz, The New York Times, The Atlantic, they're all reporting that Netanyahu was warned, personally warned of these attacks.

And this is something that the Israelis, I'm talking about the Israeli street, is increasingly aware of and not happy with.

I've got Trump news as well as he makes statements that would suggest maybe a foreshadowing of what may happen as the midterms approach.
