John Eustace

I, I mean, I, I gu- I guess unless Chris Davies is, is playing it g- a bit coy with, uh, with Patrick Roberts maybe.

I know John Eustace pretty much ruled Carlton Morris out of the, uh, the Blues game last week- before last weekend, and then, like Lazarus, he's there on the pitch at the start.

Mm.

Um, but yeah, Roberts again, it doesn't seem to be progressing as quickly as Davies would like, uh, in terms of his fitness, and obviously you've then got the, you know, the three-week international break coming up.

So to be up there and With, what was it, half an hour to go, still being with a shout of actually being in the playoff spots come the end of the previous season, I think was overachieving, certainly.

And you have to give John Eustace credit for that.

Finishing eighth ultimately meant that this season, with the additional places for playoffs, the expectation was that's where we should be going for.

Eighth as a minimum to maintain what we had.

and you don't want to be in the bottom three for that period of time and everybody talking about the fact you haven't won for a while so yeah I might just not come out and say it's a must win but the fans are saying yeah we really need to get something out of Saturday's game

Yeah I think that's because your manager's got a bit of sense and he knows not to put loads of pressure on the players but yeah we'll skim over that one Jack is there anything you'd like to add to what Nigel said or has he pretty much covered everything?

Yeah, I mean, I think on those kind of bold statements, if John Eustace comes out and says something that bold in a press conference, the next thing you will probably hear on that recording is me falling off my chair in shock.

But I think the important context here is obviously, you know, failed takeover, injuries, whatever.

And a Derby County team, I think Tom mentioned it in the group chat today, Do we start to worry about Derby County? I think we've heard news that they may be struggling in the keeper department for a little while.

We've had a first choice out for potentially up to a couple of months, which could be an absolute kick in the ball sack for John Eustace.

But if John Eustace can't get them firing, then you have to worry about Derby because historically when he's come out of teams, they've only gone backwards, not forwards.

So...

Is this going to be a drab, nobody wants to lose, or is somebody going to take the ball by the horns, or the rams by the horns in Burnley's case, Keelan, and do something a little bit special?

As well with Burnley and Derby, I don't really know going into the season if you expected both of these teams to have such a slow start.

It's really concerning.

And as you say, if John Eustace can't turn it around, you know, the firefighter manager of the division, it is worrying.

Yeah, I think John Eustace, knowing Boehm City as he does, probably thought...

You know, two big lads up there, let's break them.

And once you break them, they'll crumble like last season.
