How has the process played out over these first da- uh, first two days of, uh, vetting?
12:31
Well, well, what's happening is it's a process called voir dire, jury voir dire, where prospective jurors are be questioned by the judge at length, uh, about their views of the death penalty, their backgrounds, and they're, they're giving answers.
12:48
And, uh, and then, uh, it's individual, uh, voir dire.
12:54
Normally, in a regular trial, they'll bring a bunch of, of jurors in there and question them in front of all the other jurors.
13:02
But in a death penalty case, death penalty cases are different, so it's individual voir dire, and it's a lot longer because you bring in one juror at a time in the room by himself.
13:15
None of the other jurors are exposed to the questions and answers because they don't wanna p- uh, poison potential, um, um, jurors.
13:22
And they're, they're questioned extensively about their views of the death penalty.
16:24
Is the motion to dismiss for that reason just another example of that?
