Are you staying up for the entirety of the 24 hours? Do you get a nap in? How does that look?

Well, as a competitor, when I was on the Mazda side, I always committed to the team that I was going to be with them, you know, the whole time.

So I've been this, I think in 2027, the Rolex, that'll be, I think my 32nd Rolex 24.

And I've never, I've never taken a nap through any of them unless our car broke, which unfortunately happened all too often for a period of time.

But yeah, Now, and I think it's really good for your viewers and listeners to understand, for the 24-hour race, it's not just the green flag drops at 4, the checkered flag drops at 4 the next day.

So 24 hours, I could do that.

College students are cramming overnight.

What was it about developing that next generation that stuck out to you and really how IMSA would play into that eventually?

It has always worked the other way, but is this an opportunity to bring those two sets of regulations even closer

together? 100%, and I'm deeply involved as are Simon Hodgson, Matt Kurdock, Ed Bennett, our whole technical team, Bill Pearson, in alignment with Terry Bouvier and Bruno, and of course our colleagues from the FIA.

Obviously at Le Mans, we announced a framework for those regulations that are to start in 2030.

And I think from our perspective, it's an evolution of what we see today, not a complete revolution.

We were super, super proud and continue to be of what LMDH turned into with nine manufacturers signing up or voting that that was the way that they would go forward.

And at the same time, we want to fully respect Those who've headed down the LMH path.

What has to be done to make those new regulations work and take forward the momentum that clearly the sport has got at the moment?

And what are their chances this weekend?

Well, I think, to be honest with you, um, this tr- circuit is very tight, and it's our job to balance the different platforms.

Cadillac brings a V8, Acura a V6, Porsche and BMW V8 turbos.

And so the Cadillac, being a normally aspirated and non-turbo power plant, gives them a big drive off the corner.

So I like Ricky and Felipe's chances.

I like Jordan, who's Ricky's brother, and Louis Delétraz's chances, and of course the Whelen Cadillac team as well.

So, um, I can't play favorites, but I think-

How are you feeling about the 2026 season as we start?

Yeah, really, knock wood.

I want the momentum that we've seen to continue.

We had over 80 interested teams that wanted to come to the Rolex 24.

Obviously, we ended up with 60 here, Michelin Pilot Challenge, 51 cars here.

Even a single make like Mazda MX-5 Cup set a record entry, you know, for their series over time.

And so I think...

So you probably can't share too many details on the next calendar, but do you anticipate, like, any changes or updates?

We're here for the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona.

How would you describe the atmosphere this year? There's a lot of adjectives.

Electric, emotional, passionate.

To see what we've seen in terms of the attendance at the Roar before the 24th.

To see all the folks transition right into the Rolex 24 from the infield to trending ticket sales to be an all-time record for this event.

To see the garage area filled with fans.

And that's one of the things we're super proud of is an open event.
