John Dobson, this is the first of many URC chats that the coach and I will have over the URC season, which goes on for about 14 years, I think.

It feels a bit like that.

It's not a plan to sort of make him international-level It's just in dire straits that we can move them out.

That's what we want to prepare for.

They leave for a two-match URC tour on Saturday.

They play Connacht in Galway on Friday night next week.

It's harder to catch up on set piece deficiencies in a series on the ground.

You know, it's like John Dobson talks about fixing the plane while you're flying.

It's really hard to fix that.

It just goes sideways.

And the front row that was supposed to start last week, but was the replacement front row on Saturday, is supposedly the starting front row today.

John, we got it right, or you got it right, last week that being the underdogs focused the mind, strengthened the muscles, gave Wuma to the feet, and we did it.

Yeah, probably not by as much as I thought, but given we agreed last Monday that there was an aero stream performance, there was a conversion rate of 100 points at Ellis Park.

But no, for the Stormers, look, for the Stormers sake, to see Reinhardt coming back into form, sash up, it was really good.

It was a great test match, full stop, and I think we're in for another one this week.

Great to talk to you.

I'm so glad I don't have to talk about the Baboon management.

But towards the end, always had the sense that the All Blacks were going to impose the structure they needed to, to get the win.

But is there anything that the Lions did that Rassie could and should be looking at and saying, "You know what? I must think about that for Saturday in Cape Town"?

Yes, John, I definitely think so.

First of all, I think, uh, with the kick-off, I think New Zealand underestimated the Lions.

Uh, but it's a good Lions team, and the Lions have been trading against the Springboks for the last couple of weeks.

So I think the Stormers, because John Dobson really bought into the, the whole ethos of this tour, the Stormers were ready for the All Blacks.

The other two haven't, haven't really turned up, Sharks and the Bulls.

They, they, you know, they, there was lots of excuses about, "Oh, pre-season," and the Stormers are ready.

Um, I, I'm going to, I'm, I'm, the South African Rugby Players Fund, I'm, um, on a little panel tomorrow evening in Hout Bay, um, with...
