The fight itself reminded me of They Live, that They Live fight.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I know exactly what you're talking about.

So iconic and super memorable.

But at number seven, I've got John Nada from They Live, played by the amazing, the amazing late great Rowdy Roddy Piper.

For you guys that might have been wrestling fans back in the 80s, he's just instantly recognizable.

And this film was such a really cool departure for Roddy Piper.

I can see why Carpenter chose him in this role.

And I think it was a masterful choice because if he doesn't work, then this film really gets diminished.

You have to believe in John Nada.

And he's a hero born out of necessity.

Get him.

You know, it's like they live, you know.

He's not a mod person.

the roofs are falling in you know um i like i deliver into some really poor areas and there are people living in houses that are burned like a burned husk of a house like half of it is like leaking water and they still live there um it's really sad and scary uh i see people crawling out of abandoned buildings you know at 5 p.m when they're waking up getting ready for the evening um you know uh it's really bad dude and like east cleveland is like demolished like it is looks like war i mean the houses are all just falling apart and these people they are working they work you know i was homeless for a while living in a van and i was going to all the different walmarts and traveling and there are people living in their car that they work they work at

well not just working at walmart they live at walmart in their car because there's nowhere else to go the streets won't have them so they go to walmart and now even that's changing that they're changing policies i guess like california you can't do that anymore but i would meet all these people That, you know, they get up and they go to work and then they go back to their car and sleep and then they, you know, because they can't do rent anymore.

And even and then you got to maintain the car and you got to like always be moving and stuff.

So for 1988 against Hellbound, we have a winner for that one.

It'll be They Live.

And then 1990 Nightbreed versus we've got a list of about 10 of them, and I had actually meant to refine that list down, and I didn't get a chance to yet.

Oh,

So 1987, good year for movies.

Yeah, lots of good movies.

And, of course, our next one of these is going to be Hellbound versus They Live.

Put on the glasses.

I'm going to set up, finally set up the live stream to the patrons for our occult film analysis series that we're doing.

And we rescheduled this week's from Thursday to Monday, and I believe it's at 8 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.

So it should be 11 a.m., I believe, Eastern Standard Time.

So anyway, I'm just letting you all know that at the very least, if you are patrons, you'll be able to watch it live behind the paywall until we release it to the public and we'll be reconvening for episode two of our film analysis series uh with the skit well i should say occult theater with the schizo bros and um i'm very excited for this one i think it'll be a nice change in pace something a little bit more positive i will i will admit that i tend to focus i i do dwell in the darkness in terms of unfortunately focusing so much on things that that do have this overwhelming negative impact on your emotional state of mind in a way.

And so you kind of have to cleanse that palette, right? And I think that this will allow us to not only you know, kind of choose to cycle through different film analysis that might not necessarily always be extraordinarily critical in kind of dissecting every last subliminal message that intends to reinforce these negative narratives that are always injected into pop culture reference points.

And at times, I have to say, we occasionally find an example where people they seem to be pushing forward a very positive message that you can internalize and interpret in a way that can benefit you in your life and your psychological state of mind and just also your emotional state.

It can kind of help benefit that and improve that relationship.
