John 4

So whenever there is a lack of clarity, it's an announcement that Satan is present.

Now, the Bible says in John 4:24, God is spirit, right? Can you see spirit with your eyes? But you can see the effect of the spirits around.

You cannot see spirit with your physical eyes, but you can sense the effects.

You can know the effect.

Go, call your husband.

John 4, verse 16.

The woman answers truthfully, but then deflects attention from herself with a theological question.

The wonderful counselor guides the conversation back to the heart of the matter.

And the water got deeper and deeper.

What water is he talking about? The water Jesus spoke of in John 4 and in John 7.

John 4, he told the woman at the well, That's the same water here.

welling up unto eternal life.

And then in John 7, he stands on the last and greatest day of the feast, and he cries out, if anyone is thirsty, he'll become part of the river.

They admit that true believers may fall partially and would fall totally and finally but for the mercy and faithfulness of God who keepeth the feet of his saints also that he who bestoweth the grace of perseverance bestoweth it by means of reading and hearing the word, meditation, exhortations, threatenings, and promises but that none of these things imply the possibility of a believer's falling from a state of justification.

Which reminds me of the scripture in John 4.

It says, do not say there are four months.

Then comes a harvest.

Yeah, add some discipleship onto, you know, the power encounter.

But it's also the woman at the well in John 4, right, who Jesus gives this, like, horrendous prophetic word to.

And, like, you know, it's...

I mean, it's bang on, but, you know, pretty humiliating about her having a number of husbands and all of that sort of thing.

Mine too.

Jesus said in John 4, he burst a huge bubble because he's talking to the Samaritan woman at the well.

And that whole time, everything was about the place where you go to worship.

And she's, it's about a place.

And here's why God went to those lengths in the first place.

John 4, verse 8, it tells us plainly, God is love.

It's God's nature.

He is the personification of love.
