And today I think we're kind of getting into our rants and raves here.

Because, yeah, we're going to be talking about some serious issues facing our parks, but we're also at the very beginning of National Park Week, which runs August 22nd through 30th this year, 2026.

In fact, it marks the trail of Juan Bautista de Anza, who actually founded the Presidio, and that's how San Francisco was born.

And that was in 1776, the same year America became independent.
