I'm a huge fan of the Joe Rogan podcast.

And he has a frequent guest, Joey Diaz.

And Joey grew up in a place called Bergen Line Avenue.

And when he would tell stories about his upbringing and the neighbors who lived on his block and the melting pot of cultures and geographical representation, it was like... just an absolute diatribe.

And like Tom Waits, anyone who likes Tom Waits can probably hear the influence on this track.

But I love that imagery, like Papa's drinking Percy's brandy and cream, sisters marching for the red baton, homecoming team.

And Joey Diaz, like his stories of Bergen.

But I didn't want to call it.

It's always cool when you run into people you haven't seen in a while.

Like when I did Kill Tony last month, I ran into Joey Diaz.

And Joey Diaz, one of my favorite people in the business, but when we first got to LA, we had the same manager.

He's one of the first comics I met at our manager's office.

Our manager's office was in his apartment.

She'd go in there and he had the, this is when you got, this is when, this is when the concerts come in on a printer.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.

you hear that ink going, and you're like, oh, that's money, baby, but he always had that printer going, and I went to his office one day, and that's where I met Joey Diaz, and we both had him for a while, this manager, and then we let him go, but I ran into Joey in Austin at Keltonia, and we hadn't seen each other in probably eight or nine years, but it was just like no time had passed, like a Joey Coco Diaz and just caught up with him.

So I started this show called Comedy Chaos, and I just booked just my friends.

My friends all happened to be the Mount Rushmore of comedy at that point, you know, like Joe Rogan, Joey Diaz, Bill Burr.

Crystal Lee at the time was one of the big ones who was, like, selling out everywhere.
