Joey Clift is an enrolled member of the Cowlitz tribe in Washington State.

He's a comedian and a writer, perhaps best known for his TV and film credits.

He's written for shows like Paw Patrol, Spirit Rangers on Netflix, and more.

It's called We've Been Here the Whole Time, A Not-So-Sacred Guide to All Things Native America.

I went to school with Joey at Washington State University almost two decades ago, and I jumped at the chance to talk to him about his career, making it in Hollywood as a Native person, why he wrote this book, Wes Studi, and why Trump-appointed Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch is a friend to the Native community.
