And it was sort of a revelation for me because it was full of bands and people and artists and writers that I'd never heard of.

And all of a sudden, I didn't want to be in my sleepy suburb anymore.

I wanted to go to Limelight and Danceteria and hang out downtown.

He had no idea it was a drag queen, nor did he care.

But it was a drag queen in full drag, and he would just talk to them the same way he would talk to the guy in the farmers market that sold the tomatoes, and he would, he would, he'd talk to everyone equally.

He never had thought there was a difference between people.

So he didn't have any judgment-

What fun did you feel was missing?

I just felt like, oh my...

I, I mean, you know, I loved art and I loved making art, but, I mean, I just kept thinking, like, "There is more than just this." So I met this guy, Joey Arias, who's [laughs] like a performer, who I am actually trying right this minute, I'm gonna produce this amazing extravaganza musical show that's gonna come out next year of his work.

We're best friends.

And then, you know, other people I knew from around, just like Charles Bush, Michael Muster was on it like five times.

Joey Arias was on it a bunch of times.

Marc Jacobs, Jennifer Coolidge, who was just my funny friend who did, we did a skit together.

And Julie Halston.

And then she falls out of the UFO and lands into the garden of Eden.

Like I could literally tell you like Fantasmic.

I could tell you almost every moment in the show because it was so good and so artistically brilliant.
