Joe Shekarchi

Apart from Liz Perrick's many donations to Rhode Island political candidates over the years, state campaign finance records show Michael Perrick, over the last 25 years, has donated nearly $50,000 to the state Democratic committee and more than 75,000 to candidates, including Governor Dan McKee, Helena Foulkes, Attorney General Peter Neronha, Congressman Seth Magaziner.

Though his only donation within the last two years appears to be to now former House Speaker Joseph Shekarchi.

The executive director of the Rhode Island Democratic Party tells me Liz Perrick's status as chairperson has not changed, calling this a personal family matter.
