Joe Russo

Also next week, Bob Dylan covers Plan B by the Disco Biscuits.

Plus, we have Joe Russo and Tom Hamilton popping in to talk with us real quick next week.

And finally, we had such a great time with them last season, we're bringing them right back.

Ladies and gentlemen, from Government Mule and The Allman Brothers, it is the legend Warren Haynes back in the studio.

Chase Infinity is gonna star in this.

Uh, Joe Russo also wrote this.

Not that one, but also I'm not sure if it's the annoying one from Twitter, perhaps.

[laughs] There's so many annoying-

The guy's very annoying.

They need a non-annoying Joe Russo.

Can we work on that?

I've got one.

He's a lifelong Deadhead, so don't be surprised to hear him drop some Grateful Dead covers when you go see him.

And he's performed with Joe Russo, Phil Lesh, and, recently, Graham & Friends at this year's Unbroken Chain shows in San Francisco.

Eric and I talk about his background, finding himself as an artist, growing into his songwriting, the ups and downs of life as an indie musician, how Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter still inspire him, almost giving up just before his greatest success, and learning to, if not let go, at least hold on lightly to his art.

This episode was recorded at Gunlike Bunshu Winery in Sonoma, California, where for years Eric helped co-produce the Wachika Music Festival.

Or like getting in with that scene.

The

strands of that probably began with my friendship with Joe Russo.

Oh, okay.
