uh i mean i should have looked up other things i just was like oh my god that's the guy from the terminator movies i would have never thought that he was voicing that and they voice uh bruce tim brings that up it's like you would never think that this was the guy uh doing this because he's just such a like a weaselly little man but he's doing like this big voice uh so i thought that was cool

the name i wasn't expecting to see was joe piscopo who's playing mugsy ha good Of course, Pistapoe is mainly known from Saturday Night Live and all of his amazing skits with Eddie Murphy from back in the day that we can't really talk about half the time.

And also, we have Neil Ross as Ratso.

And Neil Ross has a very fun IMDb kind of resume.

So he's not the rat face man.

That did not, that was not as funny as I remembered it.

yeah, I liked Joe Piscopo.

Do I like Joe Piscopo? Am I obliged to like him? I did not.

Here's my feeling about this movie.

About halfway through, I had this notion Growing up, catching a Saturday afternoon movie that was some crazy-ass whatever that they got the rights and the ability to just play in the afternoon, you'd catch some stuff like Dead Heat with Joe Piscopo, right? And you'd be like, what is this? No one even knows this movie, but it's for a young person catching something like, ooh, this movie.

The reason I say that is we don't really have a place for random movies to just exist in a space without seeking them out.

Here's my feeling about this movie.

They would kill one of the cops in the duo.

Dead Heat stars Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo as L.A. detectives Roger Mortis and Doug Bigelow, who, while investigating a series of robberies committed by criminals who appear impossible to kill, Mortis discovers a laboratory that's using advanced technology to reanimate the dead.

mortis is actually killed during the investigation but his body is placed inside of the resurrection machine so he returns to life but with only a limited amount of time before his body starts permanently decomposing so he pretty much needs to solve his own murder before his own warranty expires This movie would be the feature directorial debut of Mark Goldblatt, an accomplished editor at the time who already had credits such as The Terminator, Commando, and Rambo 2, and I do think that expansive editing background is visible throughout Dead Heat.

because this movie moves very quickly, it's swift, it rarely allows the plot to settle, and it treats tonal consistency as more of a friendly suggestion than a binding agreement.

He just looks like a freak is what he looks like.

He's had all kinds of surgery done to him, and he went out and did that Joe Piscopo thing where he got all beefed up, and the beefier and more muscular you get...

It's been proven over and over again, the less funny you are.

So, you know, watch out.
