Joe Nichols

Yeah

... you, we start rolling into the 2000s, and we have a Joe Nichols, right?

Right.

And some of those other more traditional artists.

And Joe Nichols is putting out music, new music still.

Mm-hmm.

And which is great, but I think he's underrated, and I think he's underappreciated, and he's-

Sadly, but

Go ahead.

Well, yeah, we got Joe Nichols here, okay? And, you know, he's a real good singer.

He OTBs, OTMs, owns the mic.

OTGs, owns the guitar, okay? But what a lot of people don't know about him is...

We've got to put a little match game thanks to, uh, Rohwer Funeral Home and Renata Jenkins Byler.

Joe Nichols will be with us.

He's also brought to you by Power Stroke Parts and Service in North Little Rock.

And, and again, several folks from, uh, and, uh, J- Justin Moore will join us a little bit later.

I hope your Wednesday night's going well.

This is Joe Nichols now on Banks Radio, The Country Roads and C'est La Vie.

I

stayed up all night trying to find the perfect word.

The aforementioned Bailey Zimmerman from Different Nights, Same Rodeo.

Good single, new to country.

And C'est la vie, Joe Nichols.

Again, something new.

Yeah.

And this is your 11th studio album as well, and I was recently speaking to Joe Nichols and he's got a lot of albums as well.

And how as an artist do you keep like sort of making music for albums where it's not sort of like redeveloping yourself, but making your continued fans, like keep listening along? What's the secret to that?

Well, I think, you know, with every record I do, I try to f- you know, what's the path here? What are we gonna do? What's the, what's the part of this journey that we're gonna go on? And I try really hard not to just make the same record over and over, right? I always wanna stir the pot and try to, try to do something different because I think that I owe it to myself and to the music and to our fans, is most importantly, like not just, you know, work my butt off to try to give them something slightly different or something great every re- every record.

Love it, love it, love it.

This is Joe Nichols and it's called Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.

She said, I'm going out with my girlfriends Margarita's at the Holiday Inn Oh, have mercy, my only thought Was tequila makes her clothes fall off I told her, put an extra layer on I know what happens when she drinks Patron Her closet's missing half the things she bought Yeah, tequila makes her clothes fall off She'll start by kicking out of her shoes Losing the earring in her drain Leave her jacket in the bathroom stall Drop the contact down the sink Them pantyhose ain't gonna last too long If the DJ puts Bon Jovi on She might come home in a tablecloth Yeah, Takeda makes her clothes fall off She can handle any champagne brunch A bridal shower with Bacardi Hunch Jello shooters full of Smirnoff But tequila makes her clothes fall off She'll start by kicking out of her shoes Losing airing in her drink Leave her jacket in the bathroom stall Drop her contact down the sink She don't mean nothing, she's just having fun Tomorrow she'll say, oh, and have my dung Friends will joke about the stuff she lost Yeah, tequila makes her clothes fall off All tequila makes your clothes fall on All tequila makes your clothes fall on When

all our tears have reached the sea Part of you will live in me Way down deep inside my heart The days keep coming without fail A new wind is gonna find your sail That's where your journey starts You'll find better love Strong
