Joe Montemurro

... how they're trying to evolve their gameplay.

Um, you know, Joe Montemurro really wants them to be that ball playing team, um, that plays out very similar to what Tony Popovic and what we've just seen from the latest window for the Socceroos.

So hopefully the next evolution of that comes, uh, for the Matildas.

On Saturday morning, the other odds and ends, Jacob, the Olyroos played a, a two-game series against the Korea Republic up in, uh, Gosford, um, at the Central Coast Mariners Stadium.

Football Australia has confirmed Fowler will not feature in the upcoming international window, with four-cap Charlton midfielder Leah Davidson called up in her place.

Fowler's absence is a blow for coach Joe Montemurro ahead of the two important matches.

The twenty-three-year-old has been in fine form for club Manchester City and likely would have played a key role in both games as Australia's best creative attacking player.

That's the latest news in Easy English.

Well, I'm not saying all fans, but there's clearly some that it's like the, you expect success, had success, and I know that's not necessarily been in the league in recent years.

They haven't won the league since Joe Montemurro was coach, and that's something that is clearly, clearly a source of frustration, right? They, um, I don't wanna say smash and grab that Champions League title because they earned it.

They, you know, were gritty and they fought hard and they beat very, very good opponents in, in succession and had incredible wins to claim that title under Rene Slager.

But yeah, it's a, it's a, it's a club where the fans expect a lot.

8pm kick-off for that one tonight in Townsville.

Matildas coach Joe Montemurro has selected three uncapped players for Australia's upcoming international window, hoping to cover all bases leading into the 2027 Women's World Cup.

Tori Toomath, Courtney Newbon and Hannah Lowry joining the Tillies for games against Germany and Haiti next month.

All those players have shown different qualities, but qualities that we believe are a good base to move forward with.

What do I need to do to get back? You can hear the same little girl from the garage in that approach, except this time her discipline had to include patience.

While she recovered Arsenal changed managers, Jo Montemurro arrived in November 2017, someone Kim already understood from Melbourne and whose training sessions, ideas and way of dealing with people she really liked.

But she still had to finish her rehab first.

Nine months after the injury, she finally returned, coming on for the final 15 minutes of an FA Cup win over Millwall in February 2018.

Yeah.

So I'd spoken to my manager, it was Joe Montemurro at the time.

Yeah.

And I was like, "It's not good." And it was...
