But then you also have this checkerboard effect of people who don't have as much, um, and are living in neighborhoods that need quite a bit more love and care than they're receiving while people, um, move further and further out.

You know, Joe Minicozzi has actually done assessments of Shreveport to show us what our downtown productivity is, what it could be, what the surrounding neighborhoods could and should be, and where there's sort of this sugar high of productivity now that's going to decrease fairly rapidly because you're not putting away money to actually maintain all of that.

So with all this population out, what we have is opportunities through federal funding and kind of these enticements to put transit in areas where you have more housing, or better yet, to start doing that infill that can align with that transit, bring people back inside the city.
