He used to have a very progressive voting record.

Among independents, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema West Virginia and Arizona, respectively, before they left the Democrat Party, were wildly popular with independents.

And the portion of the Democrat Party that's also no longer in the Democratic Party, going by the 2024 data.

And Democrats are telling him to get out of their party.

It reminds me a little bit about what was happening in West Virginia with Joe Manchin.

All of these Democrats so eager to get Joe Manchin out of the Democratic Party.

But the biggest things I was supportive of was those big bipartisan pieces of legislation.

on guns, on infrastructure, on the one that Manchin led.

There were at least five big pieces of bipartisan legislation that he put together.

That's what I was in favor of, that Cornyn led the bipartisan piece of legislation on mental health slash guns.

It'll be close, no question.

And so he'll be in the less well-dressed Kyrsten Sinema position or less... articulate than joe manchin position there's always one of those people

would caution democrats here because i don't believe in purity tests for republicans i don't like when my party does it if you're not with trump 100 of the time you're not a republican i think it's ridiculous uh federman still votes with democrats 80 of the time and i know a lot of folks at this table used to criticize joe manchin because he wasn't voting with democrats enough even though he did 75 of the time but then what happened he lost his seat and that's going to be a republican seat for the foreseeable future Pennsylvania is becoming much more to the red and much swingier, so you'd rather have someone with you 80% of the time than a Republican who might be with you 5% of the time.

Except I'm not the person

to vote.

So he may be playing that, but he loves this role of just kind of being the in-between guy, making both sides upset.

And I said, what if we had a J.D. Vance slash John Fetterman presidential VP ticket? Would that be odd if Fetterman goes independent, kind of a Joe Manchin, if you will, from West Virginia, and brought more common sense, and all of a sudden, oh, my gosh, now we've got a Republican leading with a moderate independent now with some – could bring in all kinds of votes perhaps.

I mean – Your thoughts on that crazy ticket idea?
