Joe Garagiola

And they're wondering, are the Phillies ready? Hi, everybody.

I'm Joe Garagiola.

And the big question seems to be, are the Phillies worn out from the battle they had to wage to get here? Are the Kansas City Royals too rested? Well, as far as I'm concerned, in a World Series, that's really not a factor.

It always boils down to hitting, pitching, defense, and speed.

We pause briefly for our station identification.

This is the NBC television network.

Joe Garagiola with Tony Kubek, Tom Seaver here in Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia.

The Phillies trailing by two, as you see.

Something big being NBC's 25th World Series telecast, which will be coming your way very shortly from right here.

Hi, I'm Joe Garagiola with Sandy Koufax.

We came out to Baltimore's Memorial Stadium pretty early to beat the traffic and to visit the manager's.

But first, Sandy, I have to ask you, in 1947, what were you doing? Watching television?

Bob Moose strikes him out.

Two down.

Monday morning on Today, join Barbara Waller, Joe Garagiola, Frank Blair, and the entire staff in welcoming new host Frank McGee to Today right here on NBC.

Allie Hendricks up grounded out his first time.

And at the end of the first quarter, in the 1975 Orange Bowl, the score, Notre Dame 7, Alabama nothing.

Hi, this is Joe Garagiola.

If you've been out car shopping, you know how tough it is to be sure you're getting the right car for your needs and budget.

Sure, maybe you've seen small cars that are too small or big cars that are too big.

Probably some fans outside trying to get into the ballpark.

And also the fact that this game is being televised not only by WPIX back to The East, but by NBC with Lindsey Nelson and Joe Garagiola covering the game.

And it's always a riot when Garagiola and Barra get together and talk things over.

And Yogi was telling Joe about the ball he lost in Yankee Stadium back against the left field fence.

We'll be right back tomorrow night at the same time as our coverage on NBC will start for Game 4 of the World Series at 8 o'clock Eastern Daylight Time.

And the World Series game will be preceded by the baseball world of Joe Garagiola.

Hope you're tuned again to NBC tomorrow
