Joe Farnsworth

And is there like a guest drum cameo on one of these pieces?

No, it's, it's entirely trio except for one track where Joe Farnsworth plays brushes.

Okay.

Pretty much like a symbol a little bit, but, but yeah, the, the original session was, was trio.

Well, then when I spoke with John and Lee about his new company and said, man, do you think Mr. Jones would do a record for real? So we did one called eloquence.

His quintet, Steve Nelson, plays vibes.

Nat Reeves on bass, Joe Farnsworth on drums, and myself.

And then John Lee plays electric on a couple songs.

We have a lot of opportunities for young musicians to play with great artists, and I th- I look at every guest artist we have and every opportunity at school as an audition to maybe someday...

Next week we have Joe Farnsworth with us.

Maybe Joe Farnsworth will call one of our students, you know, in a year or two, or remember them.

Like, we sh- "I remember hearing this guy in San Diego." So that's what we're trying to create.

Well, well, well that's how that thing starts.

Brian, talk about some of the concerts that are coming up.

Okay.

Well, um, next week we have, uh, the great drummer Joe Farnsworth with us.

But for our purposes, Pop Goes a Weasel can come in the form of a great jazz recording.

Here's Vancouver saxophonist Corey Weeds from a 2014 album called As of Now, with Harold Mayburn on piano, John Weber bass, and Joe Farnsworth drums.

Thank you.

Thank you.
