Joe Brand

You guys really know how to come out and support your team.

For everyone that I mentioned, I'm Joe Brand signing off.

Again, the final score, the Colorado Avalanche five, the Pittsburgh Penguins two.

We will talk to you tomorrow night from Vegas.

Of course, Jack will make his picks, too, after this on WGN.

Jack, I don't know if you saw that David Hochberg was not happy that he was not in the picture of me, you, Joe Brand.

I

did see his tweet, yeah.

Yeah, for sure.

Oh, yeah, Dave Eanet, obviously still on here with us.

We saw our good friend Joe Brand yesterday, Dave.

Yeah, I saw the picture

Great to see the Blackhawks fans, rather the Penguins fans, coming out to make the journey here in Blackhawks territory.

And for everyone that I mentioned, I'm Joe Brand signing off.

Again, the final score, the Hawks 5, the Penguins 3.

Borky and I will talk to you on Friday in Colorado for game two of this road trip.

Sidney Crosby with a pair of goals, and the Penguins move on now.

I heard them say in the pregame show the Penguins are going to be in Chicago for two days before they go to Colorado.

So Joe Brand will be able to visit with some of his old friends.

I'm sure he's happy to be in Chicago to visit with folks.

Unfortunately, not the way the Penguins would've liked it to finish.

For everyone that I mentioned, I'm Joe Brand signing off.

Again, the final score, in the shootout, the Columbus Blue Jackets three, the Pittsburgh Penguins two.

We will talk to you tomorrow night when the Penguins return home for a game against the Dallas Stars on the second half of a back-to-back.

And I wanna give some stick taps late there to Logan Thompson, 'cause the Penguins did have some quality looks, but he was up to the battle and, and really fended the Penguins off when it counted, making 13 saves in the third period of play and 27 on 30 for the night as the Penguins ended up outshooting the Caps 30 to 27 before it was all said and done.

Uh, we're gon- like I said, we'll have a ton more for you as we move through the evening, but we'll throw it over to Joe Brand and Phil Bork back at Capital One Arena to get some final thoughts from the boys, and then we'll, we'll take you through the show tonight.

Thanks, Metts.

Nice job, bud.

Big thanks to everyone that helped out on our broadcast today, like our onsite engineer, Pat Malley, doing a great job helping us sound better than we actually are here at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC Another big thanks to the help we got back at the station from our intern Gino Martino, and our executive producer of Penguins hockey on the radio, our fearless leader, Jacob Lassner.

How about the 18,347 here at Capital One Arena tonight? There were more than a handful of Penguins fans who always travel here to our nation's capital very well, and I'm sure we'll see you in Columbus on Friday also.

For everyone that I mentioned, I'm Joe Brand signing off.

Again, the final score, Washington five to Pittsburgh Penguins three.
