So as I had mentioned in the live stream a couple weeks ago, I had this article basically asking the question, is the United States winning? the ai race and i want to bring this article up here real quick and so i wanted to take the time here i really wanted to take a few minutes to really go through this because there's a lot of really good components here now in this article asking you know is america winning the ai race we talked to 10 experts the united states is leading but china has several advantages that may prove dangerous according to these experts now this article just to run through with everybody because it breaks down in a couple of different components so we have who's winning we have power crunch we get can china win what happens if china wins cyber warfare uh cyber influence operations military use and then finally at the end it wraps up with some recommendations so those are all the different uh parts here we're gonna we're gonna run through as we go through this article so So as we begin here, so the question of where the US-China artificial intelligence arms race is headed weighs heavily on the future of both countries as mastery of AI may determine the world's economic and military leadership, experts say.

how's everyone doing today welcome back to another episode of the banker next door i'm your host dr joe berkowitz so i've got another bank news episode here for everyone today and unfortunately i messed up a little bit last week because i did not get the typical bank news episode in last week so i kind of have double the information here so i literally have like 31 articles to blow through here with everyone here today so hopefully give me uh you know about 20 minutes here we're going to try to roll through these and we're going to see how quickly we can get through all this so i want to start off with some m a and some uh bank charter news we're going to kick off with that so Third Coast Bank Shares to acquire Great Plains Bank Shares for basically a $240 million deal.

So Humboldt, Texas-based Third Coast Bank Shares, the parent company of Third Coast Bank, agreed to acquire Elk City, Oklahoma-based Great Plains Bank Shares, Inc., the parent company of Great Plains National Bank, in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $240 million.

Under the deal terms, Third Coast expects to issue 5.57 million shares of common stock to Great Plains shareholders.
