Because let me tell you what, Ghislaine Maxwell is not built for this life.

And that's Game of Thrones, it's Joe Abercrombie's work, it's all over the place.

And it's great and I love it.

But when it comes to creating a culture from scratch, I'm fifth generation American.

Uh, she recommended it to me.

Uh, but I, what I did read recently, this has nothing to do with Mercury, but I greatly enjoyed the novel The Devils by Joe Abercrombie.

Uh, terrific read.

Um, it's a, a fantasy sort of alternate Earth sort of a, a novel.

Yeah, it is definitely in the water when he wrote this.

In fact, he has said that, I don't know if you guys have read the First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie, and Buhlman cited him as a big influence on his deciding to become a writer.

Not deciding, he was probably a writer already, but an influence on this book, definitely.

And there's a character in there called The Feared, and he's a giant of a human, and And he wears a suit of armor that's split down the middle.

So it starts with, um, the blade itself.

Have you, you haven't read that, right? It's Joe Abercrombie fantasy, grim, dark, you know,

Kill Abercrombie and Fitch.

Yeah.

Definitely will.

But otherwise, we may not have a pointed and well laid out show plan, but we did feel it was important to get back to into the saddle um i'm throughout the episode troy i'm just going to be fidgeting with my new my new stuff so if i get distracted uh we'll talk about this later but um you know it is there was a quote that i i remembered uh that was mentioned in joe abercrombie's uh kind of thank you and dedication and i'm now i'm trying to find it because it is very appropriate to what we're talking about however now i'm struggling to find it and it's not having the same effect and i'm i'm very sad because i don't know where it went um but he uh he he talks about oh here here it is um he says if i've learned one thing from writing these books it's what logan's father always told him it's better to do it than live with the fear of it So that's why we're coming back because we took a while off and I saw that and I wanted to share, but it's better to do it and to live with the fear of it.
