What are the most generalizable things that people can do to improve cognitive performance, maybe stepping back from skill practice?
66:02
Yeah.
66:04
I think it comes down almost entirely to the analogy we used before is anything that gets the learner in an optimal state to learn is probably the kind of general thing that you can do.
66:17
So, you know, sleep or health or whatever is a good example.
66:21
If someone rocks up to practice, Even if you design practice that isn't perfect, if someone rocks up in a good state and the practice is designed to accommodate their needs, the kind of level of challenge that's ideal for them, whether you use the flow state literature or the challenge point literature here, it doesn't matter.
66:44
But if the practice is optimally challenging for that practice, person because you've put them in a good state of arousal and mindset or whatever, even if practice is ill-designed, there's still probably a greater likelihood of transfer that would occur than if you get more things right in the practice design space, but the people that show up to learn are not in the right state of learning.
67:12
And you see that all the time, right? There are coaches who lose entire dressing rooms to kind of internal arguments and whatever it might be with some of the most talented athletes in the world.

Can you take like five minutes and tell me whether it works or not and when it works?
