Job 10

There is an interesting word that appears only one time in the Bible, at least in the New International Version, and it's the word providence.

Job said to the Lord in Job 10, verse 12, Lord, you gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence you have watched over my spirit.

Theologians define this word providence as God's sovereign rule over his creation, accomplishing his purposes through both ordinary and extraordinary means.

I like to think of God's providence operating on three levels— First, there is galactic providence.

Today we're doing just that.

by continuing in our study through the book of Job, by reading out of Job chapter 10.

So Job 10, starting in verse one, this is what the word of God has to say today.

It says this, I loathe my very life, therefore I will give free reign to my complaint and speak out in the bitterness of my soul.

I say to God, do not declare me guilty, but tell me what charges you have against me.
