I mean, Miami was where the CIA's only domestic base was, you know, around this time period in the 60s.

The JM Wave base, it's, you know, a Lansky playground of sorts.

It's the home of so many expat right-wing Cubans who are involved in drug trafficking and CIA operations.

So the idea that the district attorney would not be on the up and up should not be shocking to people.

The overall operation for the Miami station was called Operation Mongoose at the strategic level.

They had Operation 40 at the operational level, and then they had JM Wave that did all the tactical pieces.

And all of the Cuban exiles that were implicated in the JFK assassination came out of this organization.

I want to introduce another guy.

There's only so many of those guys, right? And when you're talking about operations...

inside the United States, like what JM wave was doing with these anti-Castro Cuban exile groups, they were funding these guys.

They were watching these guys running, uh, these groups very closely, uh, They were being used, though.

They were being used as tendrils of intelligence.

And much like the FBI, they, they, conducted their own internal investigation.

And they were asking questions.

You know, what do you know? Down at JM Wave, what do you know? Did we do this? Are any of our guys, you know, what's going on here? And then you look at the Inspector General's report from 1968.

It's very telling.
