We need to have a story about these guys to make us root for them, you know, and I understood, I understood that concept, but at the same time, I thought, well then, you know, have a, have a nationwide tour segment in golf central and tell the story of that guy, as opposed to never talking about nationwide tour on golf central.

But, you know, I think that, You know, when you get when you get down to it, you know, the rich learners of the world, the Jimmy Roberts of the world are storytellers.

Sure.

And they want to tell stories.

I've thought about that over the years and, you know, the conclusion I've come to is that as I look back on my, on my life and my career.

Um, you know, I, I started out, I was, I was, when I went to college at Lewis and Clark for the first, 18 months you know i was i was going to be a creative writing major um and then when i left lewis and clark and went back to the university of nevada reno they didn't have that and i transitioned into it i was a journalist i was a journalist in nature sure so i i was i was thinking about or writing you know even back then and then when i got my job in sports television a lot of what I did was writing, um, writing scripts, writing features, writing, uh, you know, the little 30 second bumpers to take you in and out of commercial about interesting things around town.

I would write the feature, some of the features that, uh, you know, that the aforementioned folks like, you know, Rich Lerner and Jimmy Roberts would, I mean, those guys wrote their own stuff, but, you know, other announcers would, you know, we'd put together a minute and a half feature on Ryan Hightower or, you know, Charles Warren.

And, and we'd, you know, I'd write that.
