And today we are talking about the Nickelodeon animated series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.

Created by John A. Davis, the series premiered in September 2003, and ran for 55 episodes over three seasons.

Picking up after the events of the film, the series follows the titular Jimmy Neutron and his friends in the town of Retroville as they deal with rampaging space aliens, inventions gone awry, and puberty.

All right, we are back in business for Jimmy Neutron, and if you listened to our podcast episode four weeks ago you will know that I brought the original Jimmy Neutron movie to the podcast, which I think we all somewhat agreed, some more than others, that it did not age very well, and it was not a great movie, so to speak.

Um, good first shot, uh, but left something to be desired.

I am glad, though, that the movie was popular enough that it spawned this gem of a series because I, upon my rewatch of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, I think I came to realize how much of my childhood was Nickelodeon shows.

Because for our podcast we c- I curate, or whoever's bringing the show curates a set of episodes that are selected for us to watch, and I just went on IMDb and went on the Jimmy Neutron subreddit to do some research on which ones to bring.
