Jimmy Lombardi

I mean, he can, uh, the goal he scored, I saw it in Windsor, the assist he got in Windsor, his first OHL point, he did all the work.

Picked up the puck along the wall, blew past two Windsor defenders, went right around the net, put the puck right on Jimmy Lombardi's stick, bing, in the net.

The other night he scores his first OHL goal for London unassisted.

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, it's in the net.

Got rewarded a bit early in the year with some points on the board, so we'll see if he sticks with that opportunity, but good to see it happening.

How about Jimmy Lombardi going off for-

Oh

... five points just earlier today as we record this episode, in handing the London Knights their first loss of the season too?

Yeah, I think it's huge.

The guys that are coming back, Darian Anderson and Jimmy Lombardi are the two guys at the top on the forward group that are, you know, they're the ones that are NHL draft picks are the only two NHL draft pick forwards on the team.

Darian getting picked by the Rangers over the summer.

Only one of the top six scorers for Flint comes back and Jimmy Lombardi.

So there's a lot of opportunity there.

But having Darian, who's already been off to a great start, three goals, one in each game to start the year.

And we'll have some updates on socials as to who's in, who's out as we get a little bit closer to game time.

But wanted you to have a chance to digest some of The information around the team.

But, uh, you know, a- again, it's early in the season, but you take a look at their roster and, yes, there are familiar faces there.

Jimmy Lombardi is the new captain.

But then you go up and down the list and go, again, it's, it's very unfamiliar, uh, people.

Um, they've got Charlie Morada, who's their top pick, who's expected to be very good.

He says, "Right winger Cohen Ziemer will need to jump out of the pack offensively and have a big year, 25 plus goals, if he's gonna stay on or near an NHL path.

I'm not clear yet on whether Jimmy Lombardi or Vojtech Spias will be joining the Reign this season.

If so, either one could possibly spice up the offense a bit." Um, and I will add to d- to that, Don, Jimmy Lombardi is back in the Ontario Hockey League with the Flint Firebirds.

They already played three games, and he has a goal and an assist so far in those three games.

As for Vojtech Spias, he is with the Ontario Reign.

You know, I think he can give them really solid tendeying this year, and I just like this team overall a little bit more than I like Saginaw.

yeah and second for me i got the flint firebirds i mean you know obviously you have them first but i mean you know guys like jimmy lombardi king's fourth round pick in 2025 darian anderson rangers six round pick this past draft like they even have a couple undrafted guys who i think are gonna have big years for them like cooper williams oh seven you know There's another guy, Xavier Tessier.

I think he's going to have a great year.

Charlie Morata, 0-9, second year.

I have Flint finishing first.

I just think that this team has kind of kept enough pieces in place this offseason to kind of just – obviously, losing a guy like Nathan Aspinall, just not ideal.

But when you can keep a guy like Jimmy Lombardi on your forward core and acquire guys like Brady Smith from – the weight from the Sioux last year, kind of near the end of the year, they acquired him.

He's on his fourth team in the last couple years, traded from Oshawa to Sioux to Flint, sorry, his third team, kind of a full season under in Flint, maybe could kind of get him going.

Forward Adam Golier, he's going to Kingston in the OHL.

Forward Jimmy Lombardi goes to Flint in the OHL.

Defenseman Giorgio Pantelis goes to...

Penticton in the Western Hockey League.

I think he is one to watch going forward.

Jimmy Lombardi, another player that could fit into a middle six role in a couple years.

Jan Hoven, and then Vojtech Chichar, talented but I think needs more seasoning.

I still think he's a couple years away from maybe being a top six forward.
