for the middle of October if you just look at the squad let's say in Prague of that match day squad Sammy Smodics Alan Brown Josh Keeley Jack Taylor Robbie Brady Johnny Kenny Seamus Coleman Nathan Collins and Mark Travers are all members of that squad who are not involved in this 26 man squad for the next four games so that's pretty interesting I think from one of the aspects we see from the squad is that if you're not playing you're not really involved you know Jake O'Brien obviously played last night for Everton in the EFL Cup everyone else is pretty much playing as far as I'm concerned I know Liam Kitching didn't play last night for

Sheffield United but he's been playing pretty much week in week out for them Jimmy Dunne had been playing before he picked up a bit of a knock Rocco Vada probably the only one who's not playing all that consistently but again a man who's come back from injury so they could be managing his minutes We'll get into it all again in just a moment, but why don't we hear from the man himself, Hamer Helgrimson speaking, not too long ago when the squad was announced.

Easy, Nathan injured, out probably five weeks, so he's staying at the club.

Jamie hasn't found a club yet, hasn't started playing, hasn't started training, but even though it was tempting to have him in the squad, we decided together that it was maybe not the correct timing to do it.

squad's out tomorrow morning I'm not sure the

exact time I'd heard 12 and heard half 10 so just keep an eye on that one I suppose I don't think the squad's going to be a whole lot different from ones we've seen in the past like the FAI have got this new sort of mantra they're running with that they want to get younger players integrated quicker and for multiple reasons I suppose it's players just getting in around the system and having a feel for what it's going to be like but also those sort of players that are like dual nationality the likes of Keita Kaneel the likes of JJ Gabriel you know based off the conversation we've just had but the nature of the window that we're going to have in the couple of games that we're going to be playing against Israel they're going to be probably not the best camps to be bringing lads into so I don't think it's going to be a hugely different set up as far as injuries goes and there's a lot of players there's probably far too many players that are kind of just not really playing or not attached at the minute which does always happen when you get to these windows but the likes of Josh Cullen is still out he's back in the grass but he won't be involved Mikey Johnson is injured Jimmy Dunne probably won't make it he picked up an injury a few weeks ago and didn't play the weekend Jack Taylor hasn't featured this season he's been injured as well Alan Brown is trying to get out of his contract at Sunderland by the sounds of it so I don't think he'll be involved and Will Smallbone still yet to pick up a club as is Robbie Brady so you'd be surprised to see any of them involved Seamus Coleman obviously the elephant in the room doesn't have a club either but I'd be shocked if he's not involved again pointing back to the fact that we're going to have those very unique fixtures and you could do with a a real adult in the room and I think that'll be Seamus Coleman especially with the fact that Nathan Collins picked up an injury and we're not sure how involved he's going to be considering he's the captain of the side you're kind of looking at Johnny Egan and Seamus Coleman as picking up that sort of that sort of role there's been a couple of decent starts to the season for some players Tom Cannon scored a couple of goals Adam Edas had a brilliant start to the season and he's needed to have that start I imagine Owen Elding might get a call up he's obviously had a good start to life at Hibs between the second half of last season bit of an injury but was back at the weekend so should be fit Rory Finneran's another one who got a cap he's 18 obviously was at Blackburn got a couple of caps for them a couple of appearances for them when he was 15 He got capped by Hamer over in Murcia when they played against Grenada.

He's out on loan at Notts County.

He's been doing really well for them.

um but you know we we do need to kind of blood some of these youngsters as well when as i said you know england the circling a little bit um yeah i'm quite happy with what you kind of selected there as well i think he will go with tried and tested um the injuries again you know the natural leaders in the squad are there you know egan will probably play i think if if collins isn't available yeah he will be picked Abankwa will be there um and probably start for me but um I'm excited to see you know Harvey Vale didn't you know he did he did pull out that score didn't he um and I think he's one I'm excited to see what he does now because I think he's got an opportunity it's a shame Jimmy Dunn's not in it as well because I do like Jimmy Dunn but um he's obviously injured he's injured yeah but um We don't

know because we don't know what Collins, we don't know what Jimmy Dunne, because they're both injured at the moment, but we don't know if they're fit.

We don't know if Boston or Wales could be considered fit.

But yeah, so it's hard to know what these players at the moment who actually is available or not.
