Baja, the song that we're listening to today, is an album track from The Lonely Surfer.
Ben MarlinHOST
It's built on Hal Blaine's steady drums and a dark, chunky bass line that's played both by Ray Pohlman and Jimmy Bond.
Ben MarlinHOST
The liner notes to The Wrecking Crew compilation, they don't say who played what bass, but just having done a lot of Beach Boys research, I believe that Ray Pohlman would have played the electric bass, Jimmy Bond would have played the, the double bass, the upright.
