Jim Wallace, Baron Wallace of Tankerness

And I'll give you just an example of why I think it's important.

When I was First Minister... and when I was also in previous ministerial positions some of the best advice that I managed to get and people that I relied on in confidence were people like Gordon Brown people like the late Jim Wallace you know and they never breached that confidence you know I could call them into the office or you know go out to their houses as I would do sometimes and they would give some really honest advice and cross party and you knew it was coming from a place that they were didn't have skin in the game so it could give you a really honest account so my intention you know I'm 41 so I guess I'm kind of wise elder here but I've had some conversations with Labour you know I have some of Andy Burnham's team about some things that I think about and they can completely discard it but I think they know it's coming from a place that he's not he's not an SNP politician trying to trap us he's actually got an interest in kind of broader public service.

So speaking to you know Nicholas Sturgeon first minister former first minister to former first minister Do you think it was a mistake for her to get involved in that way of being critical? No, look, I know

I asked the question and I appreciate it, but a couple of things I would say...
