Jim Rome Is Burning

Could there be more, two more different dudes than Flutie and The Hurt, The Big Hurt? I had some bad history with Doug Flutie, and then I said something positive about him on ESPN after saying a lot of negative things about him, because back in the day, I used to side with Rob Johnson, and Flutie had this just nation of followers, and it was unpopular to be on Rob Johnson's side.

And so I used to go in on Flutie, and then Flutie did something that I thought was amazing, and I said so on JRIB.

And then he pulled me aside Super Bowl, and he's like, "Hey, Rome." I'm like, "Oh, this is gonna be awkward." I'm like, "Hey, Doug." He's like, "Hey, man." I'm like, "Hey, man." He said, "I saw what you said about me." And I'm, like, thinking, "Which time?" He's like, "I appreciated that." I'm like, "Doug, that's class, man." And we, and we had a moment, and he...

I thought Doug Flutie was very classy because it was clear that he and I were not good, and he was really classy.
