Uh, that dunk, it showed off that this kid's got legit athleticism.

I think it was Jim Jackson was the analyst on FS one.

And he said, Ooh, that kid, he can shoot it, but man, he showed something there.

But I'll reiterate a point.

It was just so many great people there that we met.

It was just dope, man.

Everything leading up to the game, was a just great, great experience.

Even in this one like 35% from the field I know he was much better from three point in this one he got to the free throw line a few times as well but kind of disappointed in the in the inside game so far like I thought the cutting would be a little bit better you know just particularly in the Lakers game but the outside shooting against both OKC and Sacramento Kings left like so much to be desired.

desired from Rui's case so like you say I don't know if that's related to the injury or not if it is hopefully the injury can kind of clean it up or at least he can get his mind right while he's out and then he can come back kind of refreshed because like we thought we were getting like a true bucket and I still believe we will by the way long term it's definitely not me writing him off by any stretch of the imagination but I thought the shot was going to be automatic and it just hasn't been so far which has been bit of a shame really but there was so much else so much like elsewhere to like about this one I kind of incorrectly mentioned the great first quarter from from Chris Dunn before because I was thinking about the you know Brooke Lopez and how he was able to get his own against the the Lakers defense but it felt like Chris Dunn almost like exploited something a little bit in in the Thunders offense and in this one it was possibly more so after like Cason Wallace went off with his injury and maybe the OKC Thunder was trying to kind of trying to find a way to like patch it up again on the fly but I was so impressed with Chris Dunn and his score and it feels like one of those scores Chris Dunn where you like you kind of realize how good NBA players are like I think on the commentary maybe it was Jim Jackson saying it's Brian Seaman or but I actually I spent a lot of time with the Thunder commentary not realizing I could flip over to Clippers commentary I was a little bit out of a little bit rusty and out of sync um so I think maybe spent the first quarter and like within that I'm pretty sure they were saying like on the thunder side that Chris Dunn was like it was a bucket in college this is not a guy who's like just because he's at an NBA level and he decides like locking on defense it doesn't mean he's not necessarily a guy who can score yes the three-point shot has been streaky we've seen that as Clippers fans and teams have been prepared to just leave him open but if you give him his own round the rim like he's gonna get offensive rebounds he's gonna he's gonna you know create second chance opportunities for the Clippers and he's gonna be able to get to the basket and score and you saw that in this game and then it was kind of like just I guess a joint effort from there really like it was it was you know everybody chipping in with a little bit of everything I was pleased for Kobe Sanders in particular because the first two games had me like you know small sample size and you always have to remind yourself that they had me a little bit worried about Kobe Sanders where I was like are we going to get a second year regression from him it didn't seem so with the way he played in this game and as you say he now feels like the natural choice to slot into that Rui Hachimura role in the sense of like Derek Jones Jr will probably jump up a position in the starting five and Kobe Sanders will be the three and Derek Jones Jr will be the will be the four it's either him or Grady Dick who you know wasn't as impressive in the Thunder game as he had been in those probably the first two games in particular really but Kobe was was was far more impressive in this one and then you kind of got what else like what everything else you're expecting like the one thing I will say about the Brook Lopez thing is and where I've maybe been a bit low on him in the past is for a lot of last season, I felt like I was just lobbying for us to start Yannick and to bench Brook Lopez.

And the benched Brook Lopez feels like a cheat code for the Clippers so far.

It just feels like it unlocks a completely different side of him in the way like offenses can't really adjust to what he brings because he is so tall at like seven foot or whatever he is, like seven foot plus.
